Helpful information about the General and Physics GRE

So you need to take the GRE tests to get into graduate school? Well here is a good place to look.

The official information is located at the Official GRE Website. This is where you can download practice tests and actually register for the tests. The General GRE is offered a lot so there shouldn't be an issue finding a date and time that is available. The Physics GRE is another story. It is only offered three times a year, one date in each: April, October and November. Many students take the Physics GRE more than once; normally in October and November of their senior year. Taking the test in April of senior year is no good since the test is after the due date for grad school applications.

The four released Physics GRE tests are:
    1. GRE8677
    2. GRE9277
    3. GRE9677
    4. GRE0177
These are great to study from since they are actual tests that were given.

Finally, a helpful (and free) resource for figuring out the solutions to all 400 released sample test questions is located at the GREPhysics.net site. The solutions are not guaranteed to be correct. Also, the creator of the website would appreciate a small donation to keep the site up and running. If you would like to make a donation, go here.
